Job summary

UNITAR International University – Petaling is seeking an IT Business Analyst / IT Infrastructure & Network Manager, Assistant Manager to bridge business needs with IT capabilities across the University. You will translate requirements into system specifications and support projects, upgrades, and integrations to drive digital transformation.

The role emphasizes collaboration with faculties and IT teams to enhance student lifecycle processes, finance and HR systems, and vendor engagements.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's Degree in Information Technology, Computer Science, Information Systems, Business Information Systems, or a related discipline.
• 3–5 years of experience in IT Business Analysis, Systems Analysis, Application Support, or IT project delivery.
• Experience working with both business stakeholders and technical teams.
• Good understanding of software development, system implementation, integration, and IT project lifecycle.
• Familiarity with APIs, databases, data flows, and system integrations.
• Experience in requirements gathering, UAT, system testing, and documentation.
• Strong analytical, problem-solving, communication, and stakeholder management skills.
• Experience working with IT vendors is an advantage.
• Experience in a University environment or with student-related systems is an advantage.

Responsibilities

• Engage with faculties, professional services and other business units to understand processes, challenges and technology requirements.
• Gather, analyse and document business and system requirements, including process flows, functional specifications and user stories.
• Analyse existing applications and processes to identify gaps, improvement opportunities and potential solutions.
• Work closely with developers, IT teams, vendors and business users on system implementation, enhancements, integrations and upgrades.
• Support key University systems and processes such as student recruitment, admissions, student lifecycle, academic administration, finance, HR and other corporate systems.
• Support system integration initiatives by understanding data flows, interfaces, APIs and dependencies between systems.
• Prepare test scenarios and support User Acceptance Testing (UAT) to ensure solutions meet business requirements.
• Support IT projects throughout the project lifecycle, including requirements gathering, issue resolution, implementation and post-implementation review.
• Maintain accurate documentation of business processes, system requirements, integrations, and system changes.
• Support the evaluation of new technologies and solutions to improve operational efficiency and user experience.
