Job summary

Tastiway Sdn Bhd in Jitra, Kedah, invites an experienced IPQC professional to supervise in-process quality across the manufacturing workflow. You will monitor product quality at multiple stages, ensuring adherence to stringent specifications and regulatory requirements, while supporting ISO systems and continuous improvement.

The role requires 2–3 years in IPQC or quality roles within manufacturing, with strong SPC knowledge and proficiency in QC tools.

Qualifications

• Diploma or degree in Quality Assurance, Manufacturing Engineering, or a related discipline.
• Minimum 2-3 years of experience in IPQC, quality control or quality assurance roles within a manufacturing environment.
• Strong knowledge of quality control methodologies, statistical process control (SPC) and quality management systems (ISO 9001).
• Proficiency in using quality control testing equipment, measurement instruments and laboratory tools.
• Excellent attention to detail with the ability to identify deviations from specifications.
• Strong analytical and problem-solving skills with the ability to conduct root cause analysis.
• Proficiency in quality management software and Microsoft Office applications.
• Good communication and interpersonal skills to effectively collaborate with production teams and management.
• Ability to work in a fast-paced manufacturing environment and meet tight deadlines.
• Knowledge of food manufacturing quality standards is advantageous.
• Certification in quality management (ISO 9001, Six Sigma) would be beneficial.

Responsibilities

• Conduct regular inspections and testing of products during various stages of production to identify and rectify quality issues.
• Collect, document and analyse quality data to track trends and ensure compliance with quality standards.
• Operate and maintain quality control equipment and testing instruments with precision and accuracy.
• Communicate quality issues promptly to production supervisors and management to facilitate immediate corrective actions.
• Perform statistical process control (SPC) analysis and create control charts to monitor production consistency.
• Conduct root cause analysis on quality failures and implement preventive measures.
• Maintain detailed quality records and prepare comprehensive reports for internal stakeholders.
• Support the implementation and maintenance of quality management systems and ISO standards.
• Collaborate with production and engineering teams to optimise processes and reduce defects.
• Conduct training sessions for production staff on quality standards and best practices.

About the role
