Apphia Multimedia in Malaysia seeks a hands-on IoT & BMS Integration Engineer with 1–2 years of practical experience in IoT, BMS, industrial automation, controls, or related engineering fields. This is a site-based technical role working at customer sites to install, configure, test, and troubleshoot solutions.
The ideal candidate will handle sensors, PLCs, gateways, networking, cloud platforms, databases, APIs and dashboards, with strong problem-solving and independent work at client locations.
We are looking for a hands‑on IoT & BMS Integration Engineer with 1–2 years of practical experience in IoT, Building Management Systems (BMS), industrial automation, controls, or related engineering fields. This is primarily a site-based technical role. The engineer will be responsible for installing, configuring, integrating, testing, commissioning, and troubleshooting IoT and BMS solutions at customer sites. The successful candidate should be comfortable working across sensors, IoT devices, BMS panels, PLCs, controllers, networking, cloud platforms, databases, APIs and dashboards.
Install, configure and commission IoT sensors, controllers, gateways and related field devices.
Setup and configure BMS/IoT control panels and associated equipment.
Perform site testing, troubleshooting, calibration and commissioning.
Integrate field sensors and equipment with PLCs, IoT gateways, servers and cloud platforms.
Configure communication protocols such as Modbus RTU/TCP, BACnet, MQTT, RS-485, TCP/IP and REST API where applicable.
Extract operational data from BMS, PLCs, chillers, meters, sensors and third-party equipment.
Develop or configure dashboards for real‑time monitoring, historical trends, alarms and equipment status.
Perform data integration between IoT/BMS systems, databases, APIs and cloud platforms.
Configure secure remote monitoring and authorised equipment control, including Chiller/AHU ON/OFF commands through dashboards or cloud‑connected systems.
Troubleshoot hardware, software, communication and integration issues at client sites.
Diploma or Degree in Electrical Engineering, Electronics Engineering, Mechatronics, Computer Engineering, Automation, Instrumentation, IT or related technical discipline.
Approximately 1–2 years of relevant working experience.
Fresh graduates with strong hands‑on IoT, PLC, BMS or automation project experience may also be considered.
Able to understand electrical/control drawings and system architecture.
Comfortable working with both hardware and software.
Strong troubleshooting and problem‑solving skills.
Able to perform site configuration, testing and commissioning.
Able to work independently at client sites with minimum supervision.
Willing to travel to project/client sites when required.
Able to communicate with customers and technical teams professionally.
