Job summary

Tan Zhuan Plastic Industries in Johor Bahru is seeking a Production Planning support specialist to assist the Scheduler and contribute to efficient production scheduling.

You will prepare schedules, monitor progress, coordinate with production teams, and ensure orders are processed on time while maintaining quality standards.

Experience with SAGE ERP and teamwork are important; training and benefits are provided.

Qualifications

• Have used the SAGE ERP system before and have experience in Planning.
• Support the Production Planning department, working within and understanding the production process, plant procedures, equipment capabilities and flow of goods within the facility.
• Able to work as a team.

Responsibilities

• Primary focus is assisting the Scheduler to perform scheduling duties as necessary
• Completes status reports, such as production progress, customer information and materials inventory
• Support the Production Planning department, working within and understanding the production process, plant procedures, equipment capabilities and flow of goods within the facility
• Preparation of schedules for all production equipment, preparing and updating daily production reports, working with production personnel to ensure orders are processed and completed on time
• Plan production tasks and schedules according to customer orders (for Blowing & Cutting Dept.)
• Work with immediate supervisor in coordinating and planning production activities to improve runtime
• Develop and review production plan with immediate supervisor for approval
• Monitor the execution of production plan and resolve any potential issues in a timely fashion
• Escalate complex issues to immediate supervisor for resolution
• Monitor production progress and ensure that final product meets quality standards and customer specifications
• Adhere to company standards and production policies to meet company objectives
• Analyses delays and interruptions and accordingly adjust production schedule to meet deadlines
• Work with production supervisors in checking and updating packing material to meet production schedule
• Preparation of production material needed, paper labels, stickers with barcode and cutters (according to the design as customers required)
• Monitors and updates packing material inventory level in every week, for example like cartons (with or without printed), PP & HDPE & LDPE (with or without printed), paper labels & stickers and cutters (quantity), etc.
• Coordinate and records semi-finished products transit from other branches
• Preparation of production reports - monthly, mid
