Job summary

Pivotal Systems in Kulim Hi-Tech Park, Kedah, Malaysia is seeking a capable Production Planner to coordinate CNC scheduling and capacity planning.

You will work with production, procurement, and quality teams to ensure on-time delivery, maintain ERP/MRP records, and drive continuous improvement.

Qualifications

• Degree in any related discipline.
• Minimum 3 years of planning-related experience.
• Proficient in MS Office, Excel, ERP system, and PowerPoint.
• Strong teamwork and communication skills.
• Fluent in Bahasa Malaysia and English; Mandarin helpful.

Responsibilities

• Develop and maintain daily, weekly, and monthly production schedules for CNC operations.
• Plan machine loading and capacity for CNC mills, lathes, multi-axis machines.
• Coordinate with production supervisors to ensure schedule execution.
• Monitor WIP and adjust plans based on availability or urgent orders.
• Collaborate with procurement to ensure materials availability.
• Review engineering drawings to ensure routing and planning.
• Track production performance and delivery timelines; address delays.
• Maintain ERP/MRP records.
• Support continuous improvement and report KPIs.
• Handle adhoc tasks as assigned.

Develop and maintain daily, weekly, and monthly production schedules for CNC machining operations

Plan machine loading and capacity utilization for CNC mills, lathes, and multi-axis machines

Coordinate with production supervisors to ensure smooth execution of schedules

Monitor work-in-progress (WIP) and adjust plans based on machine availability, material shortages, or urgent orders

Liaise with procurement to ensure timely availability of raw materials, tooling, and consumables

Review engineering drawings and job requirements to ensure accurate routing and process planning

Track production performance and delivery timelines; proactively address delays or bottlenecks

Maintain accurate records in ERP/MRP systems.

Collaborate with quality and engineering teams to resolve production issues

Support continuous improvement initiatives to enhance efficiency and reduce lead times

Prepare reports on production status, capacity planning, and KPIs

Other adhoc task/project as assigned by superior from time to time.

Requirements:

Degree in any related discipline.

Minimum 3 years of experience in planning related field.

Proficient in Microsoft Office, especially Microsoft Excel , Purchasing/ ERP system, and PowerPoint

Strong sense of team cooperation.

Good communication skills in Bahasa Malaysia and English, Mandarin to effectively communicate with our diverse client base and stakeholders.

Able to work independently, meet deadlines, and manage multiple priorities.
