Job summary

Körber AG in Malaysia is seeking an Inventory Control Specialist to monitor and maintain inventory accuracy, ensuring KPI targets are met and production requirements are aligned with material availability.

You will perform cycle counts, investigate discrepancies, generate stock reports, and lead continuous improvement initiatives to optimize warehouse efficiency. The ideal candidate has 3–5 years of manufacturing experience and hands-on ERP experience (SAP MM/IM, Oracle, MS Dynamics).

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree required or equivalent in a related field.
• 3–5 years of inventory control or warehouse management experience in manufacturing.
• Experience with ERP systems (SAP MM/IM, Oracle, MS Dynamics) is required.

Responsibilities

• Monitor and maintain inventory accuracy in line with KPI targets.
• Maintain optimal inventory levels against production requirements.
• Investigate discrepancies and implement corrective actions.
• Collaborate with Procurement & Planning to ensure material availability.
• Monitor stock levels, forecast shortages, slow-moving items, and obsolescence.
• Prepare inventory reports and KPI metrics.
• Perform daily, weekly, and monthly cycle counts and stock audits.
• Support annual stock counts and external audits.
• Ensure compliance with warehouse safety, quality, and operational standards.
• Drive continuous improvement to optimize inventory control and warehouse efficiency.

Inventory Control Specialist

• Monitor and maintain inventory accuracy as per KPI target


• Maintain optimal inventory levels against production requirements.


• Investigate inventory discrepancies and implement corrective and preventive actions.


• Colloborate with Procurement & Planning departments to ensure timely material availability


• Monitor stock levels and report stock shortages, over-stock, slow-moving items, aging stock, obsolete stock and forecast future supply requirements.


• Analyze inventory trends and stock movement patterns to optimize inventory levels and improve stock management.


• Prepare inventory reports, stock movement analyses, inventory performance metrics & KPIs.


• Perform daily, weekly, and monthly cycle counts and stock audits


• Support annual stock count activities and external audits.


• Ensure compliance with warehouse safety, quality, and operational standards.


• Drive continuous process improvement initiatives to optimize inventory control and warehouse efficiency.

Education

• Bachelor's Degree in Supply Chain Management, Logistics, Warehouse Management, Business Administration, or a related field.

Experience

• Minimum 3-5 years of inventory control or warehouse management experience in a manufacturing environment.


• Minimum 3 years experience using ERP systems such as SAP (MM &IM), Oracle, Microsoft Dynamics, or similar inventory management software as Warehouse Management System (WMS)
