Job summary

MERITAR SUPPLY CHAIN MALAYSIA SDN. BHD. is seeking an Inventory Control & Data Analytics Supervisor in Tg. Malim, Perak to oversee inventory control, data analysis and reporting within warehouse operations.

You will ensure inventory accuracy, analyze discrepancies, coordinate corrective actions and provide data-driven insights to support management decisions. Requires a diploma and 3+ years’ experience; proficient in Excel and WMS.

Qualifications

INVENTORY CONTROL & DATA ANALYTICS SUPERVISOR

Location: Tg. Malim, Perak
Salary: up to RM6,000 per month
Employment Type: Full-time
Working Days: 5 Days/Week (9.00am to 6.00pm) & Saturday depend on production

About the role

We are looking for an Inventory Control & Data Analytics Supervisor to oversee inventory control, data analysis and reporting activities within our warehouse operations. The role is responsible for ensuring inventory accuracy and consistency between system records and physical inventory, analyzing discrepancies, identifying root causes, coordinating corrective actions, and providing accurate inventory data and reports to support operational and management decisions.

Key responsibilities

Supervise daily inventory data verification and reporting activities.

Analyse discrepancies between physical inventory and system records, identify root causes and follow up corrective actions.

Conduct inventory reconciliation and monitor inventory accuracy across warehouse operations.

Consolidate, analyse and interpret inventory data to identify trends, discrepancies and potential operational issues.

Prepare regular inventory reports and provide data-driven insights to management.

Monitor WMS data accuracy and integrity, ensuring inventory transactions are properly recorded and updated.

Reconcile inventory-related transactions and supporting documents, and follow up discrepancies with relevant departments.

Monitor inventory adjustment activities and ensure proper supporting documentation and approval.

Establish and maintain inventory control procedures, standards and reporting requirements.

Assign tasks and supervise inventory/data clerks, ensuring work is completed accurately and on schedule.

About you

Diploma in Supply Chain Management, Logistics, Warehouse Management, Business Administration, Data Analytics or a related field.

Minimum 3 years of relevant experience in inventory control, warehouse data, logistics or related operations.

Candidates without a Diploma but with a minimum of 6 years of relevant experience in inventory control, warehouse data or related operations are also encouraged to apply.

Strong data analysis and analytical skills, with the ability to identify discrepancies, trends and root causes.

Proficient in Microsoft Excel and experienced in handling and analysing large volumes of data.

Experience with WMS and inventory reconciliation is preferred.

Strong logical thinking, attention to detail and problem-solving skills.

Good coordination and basic team supervision skills.

Good command of English, both written and spoken, with the ability to communicate effectively with Chinese colleagues.
