Job summary

Mi Equipment is offering an internship for engineering students in Penang, Malaysia. You will gain hands-on experience with machine vision optics, data collection and analysis, documentation, and hardware evaluation under supervision.

The role requires a bachelor’s degree in Electrical/ Electronics/ Computer/ Optical/ Photonics/ Mechatronics or related field, with a minimum 12-week duration. Strong analytical skills and interest in optics and mechanical design are preferred.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in Electrical/ Electronics/ Computer/ Optical/ Photonics/ Mechatronics or related engineering discipline.
• Strong analytical and problem-solving skills.
• Knowledge of optics and basic mechanical design.

Responsibilities

• Hands-on of machine vision optics including evaluation and data collection/analysis.
• Documentation preparation for machine vision project.
• Wiring Diagram preparation.
• Prepare report based on mini development project.
• Assist engineer for hardware study project and evaluation study.
• Perform machine vision hardware setup and evaluation for integration.
• Undertake other duties and responsibilities as assigned with timely closure.

Job Requirements

Candidate is currently pursuing at least a Bachelor’s Degree in Electrical/ Electronics/ Computer/ Optical/ Photonics/ Mechatronics or other related engineering discipline

Duration of internship with minimum period of 12 weeks or 3 months

Strong analytical and problem-solving skills

Knowledge of optics, basic mechanical design

Strong interest in optical and mechanical design
