Taiace Energy Services Sdn Bhd (TESSB) invites interns to explore Electrical Engineering in energy efficiency and power systems. You will learn to audit energy usage, analyze data, and design electrical layouts while gaining hands-on site exposure.
You will work under senior engineers and gain practical experience on real-world projects, including LED retrofits and high-efficiency motors, with safety and Malaysia standards in focus.
About the Role: We are looking for an aspiring Electrical Engineer who wants to understand how buildings and factories actually power. At Taiace Energy Services, you won't just be looking at diagrams; you will be analyzing real-world electrical systems to find waste, improve safety, and optimize performance.
If you want to move beyond textbook theory and learn how to conduct Energy Audits and design Efficient Electrical Systems, this is your training ground.
We treat our interns like junior engineers. Here is the technical exposure you will gain:
Energy Auditing & Analysis: Learn how to use data loggers and power quality analyzers to profile a building’s energy consumption. You will learn to spot "energy leaks" and propose technical solutions to fix them.
Electrical System Design: Master AutoCAD to draft and update professional Singl Line Diagrams (SLD), schematic drawings, and distribution board (DB) layouts.
Power Quality & Load Management: Understand concepts like Power Factor Correction, Maximum Demand (MD) management, and harmonic mitigation in real industrial settings.
Site Technical Assessments: Join our engineers on site visits to inspect Main Switchboards (MSB), sub-boards, and machinery. You will learn how to verify if an installation is safe and compliant with Malaysian standards.
Project Implementation: Assist in the installation and commissioning of energy-saving equipment (e.g., LED retrofits, high-efficiency motors, or voltage optimizers).
Education: Currently pursuing a Degree in Electrical Engineering, Power Systems, Mechatronics, or a related technical field.
Internship Duration: Available for a minimum of 3 months (Longer durations preferred for deeper technical exposure).
Technical Skills:
strong grasp of Electrical Circuit Theory and Power Systems.
Proficiency in AutoCAD is highly preferred.
Familiarity with Microsoft Excel (for data analysis) is a plus.
Attributes:
Analytical Mind: You enjoy looking at data/graphs and figuring out "what's wrong here?"
Hands-On: You are willing to put on a safety helmet and safety boots to visit client sites (factories/commercial buildings).
Detail-Oriented: You understand that in electrical engineering, safety and precision are non-negotiable.
Technical Mentorship: Work directly under experienced engineers who will guide you on industry standards (Suruhanjaya Tenaga regulations).
Site Experience: Get out of the office and see how electrical systems work in the real world.
Career Foundation: This internship is the perfect stepping stone for future roles as an Energy Manager or Electrical Consultant.
