• Strong analytical and problem-solving skills.

Internship - Business Support (Retail IT)

The BSS Intern will support the Business Support System (BSS) team in delivering system enhancements, product configurations, testing, documentation, and operational support for telecommunications applications. The intern will gain hands‑on exposure to end‑to‑end BSS processes, including product catalogue, CRM, billing, order management, payment, and system integration, while working closely with business users, developers, QA teams, and vendors.

Key Responsibilities

• Assist in gathering and documenting business and system requirements.
• Support product configuration activities and system enhancement initiatives under the guidance of senior team members.
• Assist in preparing test scenarios, test cases, and test data for SIT and UAT activities.
• Execute functional testing and document test results, defects, and observations.
• Support defect tracking and follow up with developers, vendors, and business teams until resolution.
• Assist in validating BSS functionalities including product catalogue, CRM, billing, order management, payment, and provisioning workflows.
• Prepare project documentation, meeting minutes, user guides, and operational procedures.
• Support change request (CR) tracking, release documentation, and deployment activities.
• Assist in data validation, report preparation, and impact analysis for system enhancements.
• Participate in project meetings, requirement discussions, and solution walkthrough sessions.
• Collaborate with cross‑functional teams to ensure timely project delivery.
• Perform other tasks assigned by the BSS team to support project and operational activities.

Qualifications

• Currently pursuing a Bachelor’s Degree in Information Technology, Computer Science, Software Engineering, Telecommunications, Information Systems, or a related discipline.
• Basic understanding of software development lifecycle (SDLC) and system testing concepts.
• Familiarity with Microsoft Excel, Word, and PowerPoint.
• Knowledge of SQL, APIs, or database concepts is an added advantage.
• Strong analytical and problem‑solving skills.
• Good communication and interpersonal skills.
• Willingness to learn new technologies and business processes.
• Ability to work independently as well as collaboratively in a team environment.
• Good attention to detail and time management skills.
• Duration: 4 - 6 months (flexible based on university requirements)
