Job Summary

We are seeking an experienced and commercially minded International Expansion Manager to drive the company's growth across Europe.

This role will lead the planning, coordination, and execution of strategic market expansion initiatives, serving as the central link between headquarters and local market teams to ensure successful market entry and business integration.

The successful candidate will oversee complex, cross-functional programmes involving Finance, Human Resources, Legal, Supply Chain, Retail Operations, and external partners. Beyond project coordination, the role requires strong business acumen, the ability to influence senior stakeholders, and a hands-on approach to solving operational challenges in new markets.

This position is ideal for candidates with regional or international PMO, business transformation, market entry, or post-merger integration experience who thrive in dynamic, fast-paced environments.

Key Responsibilities

Lead and drive end-to-end international expansion programmes, with a primary focus on Europe, ensuring delivery against strategic objectives, timelines, and investment plans. Partner with senior leadership to develop and execute market entry roadmaps, including business readiness, operating model implementation, and post-launch stabilization. Act as the key interface between headquarters and local market teams to align priorities, accelerate decision-making, and ensure effective execution. Establish programme governance frameworks, including project plans, milestones, risk management, issue resolution, and performance reporting. Coordinate cross-functional workstreams across Finance, Human Resources, Legal, Supply Chain, Procurement, Retail Operations, and external stakeholders. Drive business integration initiatives to ensure seamless implementation of corporate standards, policies, processes, and systems in new markets. Identify potential risks, dependencies, and resource constraints, and proactively develop mitigation plans to maintain programme momentum. Conduct commercial and operational analyses to support strategic decisions related to market expansion and business performance. Develop executive-level presentations, business cases, and programme updates for senior management and steering committees. Track key performance indicators and post-launch outcomes to ensure expansion objectives are achieved and continuous improvements are implemented. Champion best practices in programme management and foster effective collaboration across global and local teams.

Job Requirements

Bachelor's Degree in Business Administration, Finance, Accounting, Economics, Engineering, Supply Chain, Law, or a related discipline. 6–10 years of experience in regional or international PMO, business transformation, strategy execution, business integration, consulting, or market expansion roles. Proven track record of managing complex, cross-border projects involving multiple functions and stakeholders. Strong understanding of market entry, business integration, operating model implementation, and organisational readiness. Experience partnering with senior stakeholders and influencing decisions within a matrix organisation. Strong commercial acumen with the ability to balance strategic objectives and operational realities. Excellent project management, stakeholder management, communication, and problem-solving skills. Ability to navigate ambiguity and drive outcomes in a fast-paced, high-growth environment. Experience in retail, consumer, FMCG, or other multi-site operations businesses is highly preferred. Exposure to European markets, including knowledge of regulatory, operational, and cultural considerations, is an advantage. Willingness to travel internationally as required.
