Job summary

Tranglo is seeking a QA Intern for 6 months to perform manual software testing and learn from our QA and development teams. You will execute test cases, document defects, and assist in creating test plans, while gaining exposure to API testing with Postman and bug-tracking workflows.

Open to Malaysians only, location is Bangsar South, KL. Ideal candidates are pursuing or recently completed a CS/IT degree, with basic SQL and familiarity with Jira/TestRail.

Qualifications

Job description

Tranglo is looking for a 6 month Quality Assurance (QA) Intern focusing on software manual testing. This is a great opportunity for a student or fresh graduate to gain hands-on experience testing real software products, working closely with our QA and development teams.

Key Responsibilities

• Execute manual test cases to verify software functionality against requirements
• Identify, document, and track bugs/defects through to resolution
• Assist in writing and maintaining test cases and test plans
• Support API-level functional testing using tools such as Postman
• Log and manage issues using bug tracking/test management tools (e.g. Jira, TestRail)
• Collaborate with QA leads and developers to understand features under test

What you will Learn:

• Hands-on manual testing experience on live projects
• Mentorship from an experienced QA lead
• Exposure to real-world QA tools and workflows

Requirements/Qualification:

• Internship period 6 months
• Basic SQL – able to write simple queries for data validation
• Exposure to API testing tools (e.g. Postman)
• Familiarity with bug tracking/test management tools (e.g. Jira, TestRail)

Preferred Advantage:

• Prior exposure to software testing, whether through a university course/module or through testing performed as part of an academic assignment or project
• Currently pursuing or recently completed a degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, or a related field
• Strong analytical and problem-solving skills, with attention to detail
• Good communication skills, able to clearly document and report issues
