Job summary

INSCALE is expanding its Kuala Lumpur team and seeks a Software Quality Assurance Specialist. You will own end-to-end QA, including test planning, case development, functional, usability and regression testing, with automation where possible.

Qualifications

• Must-have experience in end-to-end quality assurance including test planning and execution.
• Strong hands-on experience with manual and automated testing across frontend and backend.
• Ability to design, write and maintain test cases and test scripts.
• Experience gathering requirements and mapping them to test coverage.
• Familiarity with Agile/Scrum processes.

About the role:

We are expanding the team in Kuala Lumpur. You will be responsible and involved in the end-to-end software quality assurance processes including test planning, test case development, functional testing, usability testing and regression testing covering both manual & automation testing. Participate in testing strategy and processes, bringing automation in line with existing functional aspect of the test effort. You will be part of a development team that will drive the continual improvement of product quality.

Technical Requirements (Must Have):

• Experience with test automation
• Experience in Manual testing (Functional Test, SIT and UAT)
• Experience in Frontend & Backend Testing
• Experience in test planning, writing test cases and functional testing
• Requirement gathering and analysis
• Attention to detail in test coverage and good business logic.
• Had exposure in Agile/ Scrum

Technical Requirements (Good to Have):

• Experience in test management tools (e.g. Jira)
• Experience and knowledge in building and maintaining test automation framework
• Experience in Database queries would be an advantage
• Advantage if you have an ISTQB/ISEB certification or equivalent
• Advantage if you have knowledge in Playwright
• Working exposure in CI/CD pipeline (e.g. Able to deploy Branch for testing)
• Continuous improvement and optimization of existing codebase
