Job summary

Wentel Engineering Sdn Bhd invites motivated Diploma or Bachelor's degree students to join our Production Planning Internship. You will gain hands-on experience in scheduling, inventory checks, and coordinating across departments in the sheet metal and structural fabrication sector.

Qualifications

Responsibilities

• Assist the Production Planning team in preparing, updating, and tracking production schedules and status.
• Assist in planning from receiving orders, checking inventory, releasing production orders, and monitoring completion.
• Monitor daily production workload and progress.
• Collect, analyze, and prepare reports on production performance and productivity.
• Support sequencing to minimize changeover time and downtime.
• Coordinate with Order Management, Purchasing, Store, and Production to ensure smooth planning.
• Prepare material shortage and match-set reports and follow up on material availability.
• Highlight delivery or schedule issues to the supervisor.

Key Responsibilities

Assist the Production Planning team in preparing, updating, and tracking production schedules and production status.

Assist in the planning process from receiving customer orders, checking inventory availability, releasing production orders, and monitoring order completion.

Assist in tracking and monitoring the daily production workload and progress.

Assist in collecting, analyzing, and preparing reports on production performance and productivity.

Support the Production Planner in arranging production sequences to minimize changeover time and production downtime.

Coordinate with Order Management, Purchasing, Store, and Production Departments to support smooth production planning.

Assist in preparing material shortage and match set reports, and follow up with the relevant departments on material availability.

Monitor production schedules and assist in highlighting delivery or production schedule issues to the supervisor.
