Job summary

Hong Leong Bank Berhad offers an internship program designed to give students practical exposure alongside experienced professionals. You will participate in UAT activities, help prepare project updates, and contribute to documentation and SOPs.

The role includes assisting with AI-driven process improvements, tracking timelines, and performing various tasks as directed by the Head of Department. This is an on-site internship in Malaysia with a monthly allowance.

Qualifications

• Malaysian citizen and currently undergraduate/graduate.
• CGPA/GPA 3.0+ or equivalent.
• Commitment to the full duration of the program (minimum 12 weeks).
• Demonstrated leadership and ability to work in a team environment.

Responsibilities

• Support UAT activities for system enhancements and new products.
• Prepare and deliver presentations; create SOPs and system guides.
• Monitor project progress and follow up with stakeholders to obtain status updates.
• Assist with AI initiatives to optimize workflows and automate documentation.

The program serves to provide vital experience for students to combine theoretical knowledge and practical work experience, enabling them to develop skills that will provide them with an invaluable head start in their career.

Key Responsibilities

• Perform User Acceptance Testing (UAT): You'll conduct UAT for system enhancements, production fixes, and new product development to ensure they meet business requirements and are ready for deployment.
• Create Presentations and Documentation: You will prepare and deliver presentations for project updates and management meetings. You'll also be responsible for creating and maintaining essential documentation, such as Standard Operating Procedures (SOPs) and system guides, to support team knowledge and operational efficiency.
• Track Project Progress: A key part of the role is assisting team members in monitoring project deadlines and timelines. This includes engaging with and following up with relevant stakeholders to get status updates on their tasks and projects, ensuring the team stays on track.
• AI Initiative: A proactive Operations & AI Automation Intern to analyze business and operations workflows and deploy AI-driven process improvements. In this role, you will leverage AI tools like Google’s Gemini ecosystem—NotebookLM, custom Gemini Gems, and Workspace Studio to eliminate operational bottlenecks, automate documentation creation, and scale team efficiency across the organization
• Other Assigned Tasks: You will also execute various assignments or tasks as directed by the Head of Department.

Eligibility

• Malaysian citizen;
• Undergraduate/ graduate in any field of study from a local or international university;
• Possess CGPA / GPA score of 3.0 and above, or equivalent;
• Able to commit to entire duration of program (minimum of 12 weeks);
• Able to demonstrate leadership qualities and ability to overcome challenges through degree or extra-curricular activities;
• Displays enthusiasm when given tasks, able to communicate with people at various seniority levels and work cohesively in a project or team environment;
• Possess the passion and motivation to push for growth and success in the banking and financial industry.

Remuneration
