Job summary

Hong Leong Bank in Malaysia invites motivated undergraduates to join a 12-week internship program in Kuala Lumpur. You will assist with weekly and monthly loan and deposit reports, and participate in ad-hoc analysis to support business units.

The program seeks candidates with leadership qualities, strong communication skills, and a passion for banking. You will gain practical exposure across frontline analytics and risk awareness while contributing to digital initiatives.

Qualifications

• Malaysian citizen.
• Undergraduate/graduate in Economics, Accounting & Finance, Statistics, Actuarial Science or relevant field.
• CGPA 3.0 and above or equivalent.
• Commit to entire duration of program (minimum 12 weeks).
• Demonstrate leadership and ability to communicate with people at various seniority levels.
• Passion and motivation for growth in banking and finance.

• Prepare weekly and monthly loan and deposits reports.
• Follow up and monitor closely on the proposals executed by Business Unit(s), investigate and highlight if anomalies are identified.
• Support ad-hoc analysis and study.
• Undertake any other duties assigned by immediate superior.

Eligibility:

• Malaysian citizen;
• Preferably undergraduate/ graduate in Economics, Accounting & Finance, Statistics, Actuarial Science or relevant field.
• Possess CGPA / GPA score of 3.0 and above, or equivalent;
• Able to commit to entire duration of program (minimum of 12 weeks);
• Able to demonstrate leadership qualities and ability to overcome challenges through degree or extra-curricular activities;
• Displays enthusiasm when given tasks, able to communicate with people at various seniority levels and work cohesively in a project or team environment;
• Possess the passion and motivation to push for growth and success in the banking and financial industry.
