Job summary

DSV Global Transport and Logistics is seeking an intern to support land transport operations in Malaysia. You will gain hands-on experience in reviewing commercial agreements, consolidating data for internal reporting, coordinating trucking schedules, and helping document SOPs for operational and commercial processes.

The role offers exposure to both operational and commercial aspects of road transportation, enabling a well-rounded understanding of the business.

Responsibilities

• Commercial support: review, prepare and consolidate commercial agreements with vendors, partners and customers.
• Data consolidation & reporting: collect, organize and analyze transportation data for internal reporting; prepare dashboards on cost, utilization and performance metrics.
• Trucking coordination: assist in coordinating trucking schedules and allocation with vendors and internal teams; monitor delivery notes and invoices.
• SOP documentation: help document, update and standardize SOPs for trucking operations and commercial processes.

1.0 Job Overview

This role is responsible for overseeing administrative and road activities related to land transport operations. The role provides hands‑on experience in logistics operations with a focus on commercial agreements, data consolidation, trucking coordination, and SOP development. This internship will offer exposure to both operational and commercial aspects of road transportation, enabling the intern to gain a well‑rounded understanding of the business.

2.0 Job Responsibilities (duties / task)

2.1 Commercial Support:

Assist in reviewing, preparing, and consolidating commercial agreements with vendors, partners, and customers.

Support the commercial team in tracking agreement validity, pricing updates, and compliance requirements.

2.2 Data Consolidation & Reporting:

Collect, organize, and analyze transportation data for internal reporting.

Prepare weekly/monthly dashboards on cost, utilization, and performance metrics.

Support data accuracy and process improvement initiatives.

2.3 Trucking Arrangement:

Assist in coordinating trucking schedules and allocation with vendors and internal teams.

Support day‑to‑day execution of trucking operations to ensure timely delivery.

Monitor and update trucking documentation (delivery notes, permits, invoices).

2.4 Standard Operating Procedures (SOPs)

Assist in documenting, updating, and standardizing SOPs for trucking operations and commercial processes.

Identify process gaps and propose improvements for efficiency and compliance
