Private Advertiser in Malaysia is seeking a transport planner to plan and coordinate road transportation operations, ensuring shipments are delivered efficiently, cost‑effectively, and on time while upholding customer service and compliance standards.
You will plan daily movements, optimize routes and vehicle utilization, and coordinate with customers, carriers, drivers, warehouses, and internal teams to keep schedules aligned and costs under control.

Key responsibilities
Plan daily transport movements and optimize routes, loads, and vehicle utilization.
Coordinate collections and deliveries with customers, carriers, drivers, warehouses, and internal operations teams.
Allocate loads to appropriate vehicles and transport providers based on capacity, cost, service requirements, and delivery schedules.
Monitor shipments and proactively manage delays, disruptions, or changes to transport plans.
Communicate with drivers and subcontracted carriers regarding schedules, loading instructions, delivery requirements, and operational issues.
Ensure transport documentation, booking information, and system records are accurate and completed on time.
Track delivery performance and investigate service failures or exceptions.
Work closely with customer service, operations, sales, and other DSV teams to resolve transport issues.
Identify opportunities to reduce empty kilometres, improve vehicle utilization, and control transportation costs.
Ensure operations comply with applicable road-transport regulations, company procedures, and health and safety requirements.
About you
Experience in transport planning, logistics, freight forwarding, or road transportation.
Good knowledge of transport operations, route planning, and vehicle capacity.
Strong organizational and time-management skills.
Ability to work under pressure in a fast-paced operational environment.
Strong communication and problem-solving skills.
Good geographical knowledge and attention to detail.
Comfortable working with transport-management systems, ERP systems, and Microsoft Office/Excel.
Ability to prioritize multiple shipments and respond quickly to operational changes.
Knowledge of road-transport regulations is an advantage.
