Job summary

Duplex Infra Sdn Bhd is seeking a Project Coordinator to lead client communications, manage site coordination, and oversee renovation projects from planning to completion. You will develop design concepts, prepare technical drawings, and prepare quotations and cost estimates for client approval.

The role involves coordinating with contractors, suppliers, and the design team, maintaining schedules, monitoring progress, and ensuring quality and compliance with drawings.

Responsibilities

• Meet and communicate with clients to understand renovation needs, preferences, budget, and requirements.
• Conduct site visits, site measurements, and assess existing site conditions.
• Develop interior design concepts, space planning, layouts, and renovation proposals.
• Prepare 2D drawings, floor plans, elevations, furniture layouts, and other technical drawings.
• Prepare 3D perspectives, mood boards, material selections, and design presentations where required.
• Prepare renovation quotations, material specifications, and project cost estimates.
• Coordinate with clients on design selections, materials, finishes, colors, fittings, and fixtures.
• Revise designs and drawings based on client feedback and site conditions.
• Coordinate with contractors, subcontractors, suppliers, and other project parties.
• Prepare and monitor project schedules to ensure renovation works are completed within the agreed timeline.
• Coordinate site activities including demolition, carpentry, electrical, plumbing, plastering, painting, flooring, ceiling, glass, aluminum, and other renovation works.
• Conduct regular site inspections to monitor workmanship, progress, and compliance with approved drawings and specifications.
• Follow up on material orders, deliveries, installation, and site requirements.
• Identify and resolve site issues, design changes, and coordination problems promptly.
• Liaise with clients throughout the renovation process and provide regular project updates.
• Ensure approved designs, drawings, materials, and finishes are properly communicated to site teams.
• Monitor project costs and highlight any variations, additional works, or potential cost overruns.
• Prepare and manage variation orders and obtain client approval where necessary.
• Coordinate rectification and defect works before project handover.
• Conduct final site inspection and ensure the completed works meet the agreed design and quality requirements.
• Maintain proper project documentation, including drawings, quotations, purchase orders, site reports, and client correspondence.
• Manage multiple renovation projects and prioritize tasks according to project deadlines.
• Ensure good communication and coordination between the client, design team, contractors, and suppliers.
• Perform other project coordination and design-related duties as assigned by management.
