Job summary

Reemotely Pte Ltd invites applications for a Johor Bahru-based technical interior designer to develop precise 3D models, mockups, production drawings, and renders supporting design, costing, and client presentations. The role works closely with design, production, and CRM teams to ensure timely, accurate delivery.

The position is an Independent Contractor, hybrid in Johor Bahru, 5-day weeks, 40 hours per week, with a staged pay review during the initial 3-month period and potential full rate

Qualifications

• Excellent command of English, both written and spoken.
• Strong design acumen with interior/spatial design principles.
• A portfolio demonstrating verifiable experience in 3D modelling, rendering, or technical design work.
• Proficiency in design software for 3D modelling, mockups, and rendering.
• Ability to produce precise 2D layouts and production-ready drawings with accurate measurements.

Responsibilities

• Develop clean, high-quality 3D models for all projects and create detailed mockups for internal approvals and client presentations.
• Prepare first-level production drawings with accurate measurements, and calculate areas and material quantities for costing to support the production manager.
• Work on new product concepts for projects, custom requirements, and catalogue development, converting design inputs into workable 3D and 2D outputs.
• Prepare proposal presentations, compiling renders, mockups, and drawings into clear, client-ready decks.
• Improve and develop rendering quality across projects, working on lighting, materials, textures, and realism to match premium standards.
• Create clean 2D drawings for design and production needs, supporting teams with accurate sketches and measurements.
• Maintain fast and accurate delivery of tasks, coordinating with design, production, and CRM teams to ensure on-time delivery.

Job description

One of our valued clients in Singapore is looking for a Johor Bahru-based technical interior designer who will be responsible for developing accurate 3D models, mockups, production drawings, and renders that support design, costing, and client presentation requirements. The role ensures all technical design outputs meet quality, accuracy, and brand standards, while coordinating closely with the design, production, and CRM teams to ensure timely and error-free delivery.

Position: Interior Designer (Technical)

Level: Junior to Senior

Work Arrangement: Independent Contractor, Hybrid (Johor Bahru-based), 5-day work week, 40 hours per week

Working Days & Hours:

Monday to Friday, 9 AM – 6 PM (MYT, GMT+8)

Lunch Break: 1 PM – 2 PM (MYT, GMT+8)

Compensation Package: Salary, Medical Leave, Monthly Day-Off

Salary Structure: The position includes an initial three (3) months of review period, during which the starting salary will be paid at 80%. This initial review period aims to thoroughly determine the suitability of remote talent in order to assess long-term employability or identify suitable replacements. Upon successful completion of the review period, the salary will be increased to 100% of the agreed amount.

Requirements
