Job summary

Zohorecruit is recruiting for an interior design role in Puchong, Malaysia. You will work with project teams to steer design direction, translate concepts into detailed drawings, and coordinate with contractors and consultants to deliver fit-out coordination, space planning, and documentation.

The role requires site experience, 3–4 years in interior design, and proficiency in AutoCad, 3D Max, Vray, Sketchup, and Adobe tools.

Qualifications

• Diploma or Degree in Interior Architecture or Interior Design.
• 3–4 years of related experience in the field.
• Proficient in AutoCad, 3D Max, Vray, Sketchup, Photoshop, Illustrator, and MS Office.
• Site experience is essential; able to coordinate on site.

Responsibilities

• Translate design concepts into detailed drawings and designs.
• Deliver Concept and Schematic Design, DD and Tender Documentation.
• Strong in space planning and concept development to meet client requirements.
• Manage all design aspects: conceptual drawings, space planning, details and presentations.
• Prepare presentation materials with good presentation skills.
• Coordinate among contractors, design consultants and subcontractors.
• Develop design solutions for efficient and functional use of space.
• Monitor progress of work at site and assist with handover.
• Manage project costing and prepare project quotations.

Job Description:

Work together with project teams for design direction.

Responsible for translating design concepts into design details.

Must be able to deliver Concept and Schematic Design as well as DD and Tender Documentation.

Strong in space planning and concept development to meet client’s requirements.

Responsible for managing all design related aspects – conceptual drawings, space planning, detail drawings and presentation drawings.

Prepare materials for presentation with good presentation skill.

To coordinate among the contractors, relevant design consultants and subcontractors.

To develop design solutions with efficient and functional use of space.

To monitor and follow up on progress of work at site.

To manage project costing as well as preparation of project quotation

Requirements

Candidates must possess at least a Diploma or Degree in Interior Architecture or Interior Design.

At least 3 – 4 years of working experience in the related field.

Required skills: AutoCad, 3D Max, Vray, Sketchup, Adobe Photoshop, Adobe Illustrator, Microsoft Excel / Word / PowerPoint.

Site experience is essential. Responsible for undertaking site inspections and giving solutions on site to ensure smooth process of Fit-out Coordination works with contractors, sub-contractors, and consultants till project handover.

Required languages: English, Mandarin and Bahasa Malaysia

Able to work independently under dynamic working environment and results oriented.

Able to meet deadlines and maintain a consistent high standard of work, have strong commitment, responsible and self-motivated.

Able to work with minimum supervision and possess good interpersonal skills with proactive approach.

Able to perform under fast paced and stress environment.

Experience in F&B and commercial projects will be an added advantage.

Salary commensurate with experience

Must possess own transport.
