About the role

seeking an experienced Intensive Care Unit Nurse to join our healthcare team in Selangor. This is a full‑time position offering the opportunity to provide critical care nursing in a dynamic and demanding environment. As an ICU Nurse, you will be at the forefront of patient care, working with acutely ill patients and utilising advanced clinical skills to support their recovery. This role is integral to our commitment to delivering exceptional patient outcomes and maintaining the highest standards of critical care within our facility.

Key responsibilities

Deliver direct patient care to critically ill patients, including monitoring vital signs, administering medications, and managing complex medical devices and equipment

Conduct comprehensive patient assessments and develop individualised care plans in collaboration with multidisciplinary teams

Maintain accurate and timely documentation of patient observations, treatments and interventions in line with clinical and legal requirements

Respond promptly to patient deterioration, recognising early warning signs and escalating concerns appropriately

Provide emotional support and education to patients and their families during critical illness and recovery

Assist with emergency procedures and life-saving interventions as required

Collaborate with doctors, allied health professionals and nursing colleagues to ensure coordinated and effective care delivery

Maintain a safe and sterile clinical environment, adhering to infection prevention and control protocols

Contribute to continuous quality improvement and participate in clinical governance activities

Support the orientation and training of junior nursing staff when required

What we're looking for

Current nursing qualification and registration with the relevant regulatory body in Malaysia (or equivalent qualification with recognition)

Minimum 2 years' experience working in an intensive care setting, including experience with critical care nursing practices and protocols

Strong clinical knowledge of critical illness management, patient monitoring and emergency interventions

Proficiency in using and managing intensive care equipment, including ventilators, cardiac monitors and infusion pumps

Excellent communication skills with the ability to liaise effectively with multidisciplinary teams, patients and families

Ability to work calmly and professionally under pressure whilst maintaining focus on patient safety

Strong organisational and time management skills with the capacity to prioritise multiple complex patient care needs

Commitment to maintaining professional standards and adhering to evidence-based practice guidelines

Current BLS (Basic Life Support) and ALS (Advanced Life Support) certifications or willingness to obtain them

Fluency in English; proficiency in Bahasa Malaysia is advantageous
