You will collaborate with physicians and other healthcare professionals, manage ventilated patients, and ensure accurate charting and infection control. The ideal candidate has 2-3 years ICU experience and current BLS/ALS certifications.

Responsibilities

seeking an experienced Intensive Care Unit Nurse to join our healthcare team in Ipoh, Perak. As an ICU Nurse, you will play a vital role in delivering high-quality patient care, monitoring vital signs, and supporting patients through their most critical moments. Key responsibilities

Provide direct patient care to critically ill patients, including monitoring vital signs, administering medications, and performing clinical procedures

Assess patient conditions regularly and report any changes in status to the medical team promptly

Operate and maintain intensive care equipment, including ventilators, cardiac monitors, and infusion pumps

Communicate effectively with patients and their families, providing emotional support and explaining treatment plans in a compassionate manner

Maintain accurate and detailed patient records and documentation in compliance with healthcare standards

Collaborate with multidisciplinary teams including doctors, respiratory therapists, and other healthcare professionals to deliver optimal patient care

Perform wound care, catheter management, and other clinical nursing duties as required

Assist with patient hygiene, comfort measures and activities of daily living

Respond promptly to patient calls and emergencies, providing immediate support and intervention

Adhere to infection control protocols and maintain a safe, clean environment

What we're looking for

Current registration with the relevant nursing regulatory body

Minimum of 2-3 years of experience working in an intensive care unit or critical care setting

Advanced knowledge of critical care nursing principles, practices, and protocols

Proficiency in operating and troubleshooting intensive care equipment and monitoring systems

Strong clinical assessment and decision-making skills

Excellent communication abilities, both written and verbal, particularly in explaining complex medical information to patients and families

Ability to work effectively in a fast-paced, high-stress environment and respond calmly to emergencies

Compassion, empathy and patient-centred care approach

Strong teamwork and collaboration skills

Attention to detail and commitment to maintaining accurate documentation

Current Basic Life Support (BLS) and Advanced Life Support (ALS) certifications

Physical stamina and ability to perform manual patient handling
