Vsconsultancy is seeking an experienced Intensive Care Unit Nurse to join our healthcare team in Damansara, Selangor. This full-time role focuses on delivering high-quality care in critical settings, managing complex cases and using advanced medical technologies.

The ideal candidate holds current nursing registration, 2–3 years ICU experience, strong clinical skills, and the ability to work calmly under pressure. ACLS/BLS certification is preferred.

Qualifications

Responsibilities

• Provide direct patient care and monitoring in ICU, including vital signs and medications.

About the role

We are seeking an experienced Intensive Care Unit Nurse to join our healthcare team at . This is a full-time position based in Damansara, Selangor. As an ICU Nurse, you will play a critical role in providing high-quality patient care in our intensive care settings, working with complex medical cases and utilising advanced medical technologies. This position is fundamental to delivering exceptional patient outcomes and supporting our healthcare mission in acute and critical care environments.

Key responsibilities

• Providing direct patient care and monitoring in the intensive care unit, including vital sign monitoring, medication administration and wound care
• Assessing patient conditions and reporting changes to medical staff promptly
• Operating and troubleshooting critical care equipment, including ventilators, cardiac monitors and infusion pumps
• Collaborating with the multidisciplinary healthcare team to develop and implement comprehensive care plans
• Maintaining accurate and detailed patient records and documentation in accordance with clinical protocols
• Performing emergency interventions and responding swiftly to patient deterioration
• Providing emotional support and clear communication to patients and their families during critical illness
• Ensuring infection control procedures and maintaining a safe, clean patient environment
• Assisting with procedures such as intubation, central line insertion and other invasive interventions
• Contributing to continuous quality improvement and participating in team debriefings and clinical discussions

What we're looking for

• Current registration as a Registered Nurse with relevant nursing body or regulatory authority
• Minimum 2-3 years' experience working in an intensive care unit, acute care or critical care setting
• Strong clinical knowledge of acute and critical care nursing practices, including patient assessment and intervention
• Competency in operating and monitoring advanced medical equipment and technology
• Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to work effectively within a multidisciplinary team
• Ability to remain calm and make sound clinical decisions in high-pressure, emergency situations
• Strong organisational skills and the ability to prioritise multiple patient needs
• Evidence of professional development and commitment to continuing education in critical care nursing
• Knowledge of infection control procedures and patient safety protocols
• Resilience, compassion and genuine commitment to patient care and wellbeing
• Basic Life Support (BLS) certification and Advanced Cardiovascular Life Support (ACLS) certification preferred
