StraitsX Group is seeking an Integration Engineer to lead API integrations for our card-related products. You’ll be the primary technical contact for clients, guiding them from sandbox to production and ensuring smooth onboarding.

You will debug issues across environments, configure identity, access controls, and payment network portals, and work with Sales, Product, and Engineering to deliver a seamless client experience.

Formación

• 4+ years in a technical client-facing role such as integration support or solutions engineering.
• Experience with RESTful APIs and debugging endpoints.
• Excellent written and verbal communication in English and Mandarin.
• Experience with ticketing systems (FreshDesk, Zendesk).
• Ability to read logs and trace issues across distributed systems.
• Structured troubleshooting approach from error codes to root cause.
• Familiarity with generative AI tools for productivity.
• Fintech or payment industry experience (card issuing, wallets).
• Experience with VISA/Mastercard protocols or card lifecycle is a plus.
• Familiarity with monitoring tools like DataDog or Grafana.
• Knowledge of webhook architectures and event-driven systems.
• Experience creating SOPs or runbooks for support operations.

Responsabilidades

About the Role

We’re looking for a passionate Integration Engineer to join our Card Team. You’ll be the primary technical point of contact for our clients, guiding them through API integrations, debugging issues, and handling essential technical setups. Your work will directly contribute to faster client onboarding and higher client satisfaction.

This role reports to the Integration Engineer Team Lead and works closely with Software Engineers, Product Managers, and external client technical teams.

What You Will Do

• Guide and support clients step-by-step through API integration for card issuing from initial sandbox setup to full production go-live acting as their primary technical point of contact throughout and beyond
• Routinely debug and diagnose technical issues within both sandbox and production environments, working directly with clients to identify root causes and implement solutions
• Manage and execute technical configuration tasks including identity provider setup, access control, and payment network portal configuration
• Manage payment network certification processes for mobile wallet integrations
• Develop and maintain clear technical documentation, troubleshooting playbooks, and internal knowledge base content
• Actively participate in client-facing communication channels (Slack, WhatsApp) to provide timely first-line technical support
• Translate client feedback and integration challenges into actionable Jira tickets for our Software Engineering team
• Leverage generative AI tools and monitoring platforms for troubleshooting, documentation, log analysis, and root cause identification
• Collaborate closely with Sales, Product, and Engineering teams to ensure a seamless client experience from engagement through integration and beyond

What We Are Looking For

• 4+ years in a technical client-facing role (integration support, solutions engineering, technical account management, or similar)
• Experience with RESTful APIs - reading documentation, testing endpoints, debugging request/response payloads
• Exceptional written and verbal communication skills in both English and Chinese (Mandarin) are essential
• Experience with ticketing systems (FreshDesk, Zendesk, or similar)
• Ability to read logs and trace issues through distributed systems
• Structured troubleshooting approach - logical reasoning from error codes to root cause
• Proficiency with generative AI tools for daily productivity
• Ownership mentality - proactively identifies and resolves issues
• Fintech or payment industry experience (card issuing, acquiring, e-wallet)
• Experience with VISA/Mastercard protocols or card lifecycle management
