Private Advertiser is seeking a Product Manager to own and improve a fintech app covering wallets, payments, and asset features. You will translate complex rules into practical requirements and drive end‑to‑end delivery from design to launch.
You will align with compliance, operations and partners to ensure reliable transactions, strong security, and scalable product outcomes across customer and admin portals.
We are looking for a Product Manager to manage and improve a fintech app covering digital wallets, fiat and digital asset exchange, payment cards, rewards and membership benefits.
You will own assigned product areas from requirements and design through to development, testing, launch and ongoing improvement. The immediate focus is on improving core transaction journeys, product reliability and internal workflows, while delivering integrations with third-party providers.
This is a hands‑on role suited to someone with experience in payments, e-wallets, cards or digital asset products who can translate complex business rules into clear, practical product requirements.
1. Product Planning and Requirements
Work with the Business Lead to maintain the product roadmap and backlog, incorporating feedback from operations, customer support, finance, compliance and marketing.
Prioritise requirements based on user needs, business value, financial and compliance risks, development effort and dependencies.
Define minimum viable products (MVPs), release scopes and acceptance criteria. Track requirement changes and their impact on delivery timelines and resources.
2. Wallet, Payment and Card Features
Design workflows across the mobile app, web pages and admin portal, covering registration, identity verification, fun, withdrawals, asset exchange, card applications, top-ups, card management and transaction history.
Prepare product requirement documents (PRDs), prototypes, business workflows, fund and data flows, and transaction‑state definitions.
Define rules for balances, charges, exchange rates, limits, account permissions and regional eligibility.
Cover both successful transactions and exceptions, including pending transactions, failures, timeouts, refunds and reversals.
Work with engineering and service providers to address balance discrepancies, delayed callbacks, duplicate notifications and inconsistent transaction statuses.
3. Compliance and Operational Tools
Translate requirements confirmed by compliance and risk teams into user and admin workflows, including KYC/KYB, AML/CTF, wallet address verification, Travel Rule and regional restrictions.
Define processes for requesting additional documents, reviewing applications, communicating outcomes and handling cases manually.
Improve internal tools for user and transaction enquiries, card balances, fund records, reconciliation, reporting, access controls and audit trails.
Work with finance and operations to clarify data definitions and reduce manual checking and repeated processing.
4. Delivery and Quality
Lead requirement reviews and coordinate with engineering, design, QA and project coordination teams on scope, dependencies, estimates and testing.
Clarify business rules throughout development, communicate delivery risks and keep stakeholders informed.
Contribute to test scenarios, coordinate and participate in user acceptance testing (UAT), and confirm business acceptance with the Business Lead.
Prepare release notes and product guidance for customer support and operations, and coordinate launch readiness and required approvals.
Follow up on production issues, verify fixes and use recurring problems to improve product rules and workflows.
5. Third-Party Integrations
Work with card service providers, payment providers, identity verification providers and other partners to assess capabilities, API/SDK documentation, limitations and service expectations.
Define integration requirements, responsibilities, exception handling, testing arrangements and acceptance criteria.
Evaluate integration options with engineering, including links, redemption codes, web pages, APIs and SDKs, considering cost, delivery time and ongoing maintenance.
Support planning for future partner integrations and reusable product modules.
6. Rewards and Product Performance
Design referral, cashback, membership and partner promotion features, including eligibility, reward calculations, fulfilment, cost controls and duplicate‑claim prevention.
Define product metrics and tracking requirements for registration, KYC completion, first funding, card applications and activation, transaction success and active usage.
Use product data, user feedback and customer support enquiries to evaluate releases and identify improvements.
At least 3 years of product management experience, including 2 years in fintech, digital wallets, payments, cards or digital asset products.
Experience independently managing a complex product module through launch and subsequent improvements.
Practical experience with account balances, fund flows or transaction‑state logic, including exception handling and consistency across systems.
Ability to produce clear PRDs, workflows, prototypes and acceptance criteria, and explain prioritisation decisions.
Working knowledge of frontend/backend interactions and third‑party integrations. Able to read API documentation and discuss callbacks, duplicate requests, retries and dependencies with engineers.
Experience working on both customer‑facing applications and admin portals, with involvement in development, testing, UAT and releases.
Familiarity with Jira, Confluence, Figma or equivalent tools.
Strong communication skills, including the ability to lead requirement discussions and read and write product documentation in Chinese. This is required for regular collaboration with Chinese‑speaking stakeholders.
English proficiency sufficient to review supplier and technical documentation, write business emails and participate in meetings.
Ability to manage parallel requirements, coordinate across teams and time zones, and raise risks early.
Candidates with relevant payments, e‑wallet, card or cross‑border payments experience are encouraged to apply. Previous digital asset experience is an advantage, but is not essential if you meet the core requirements above.
