Job summary

Hong Leong Assurance Berhad is seeking a Manager for Insurance Operations Business Analysis & Testing to lead requirements gathering, impact analysis, and solution design across life insurance processes. You will document BRDs, coordinate IT and vendor interactions, and support UAT and testing activities to ensure quality deliveries.

The role requires 5+ years in Life Insurance or Takaful, strong analytical and communication skills, and the ability to work independently.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's Degree in any discipline; actuarial/insurance background preferred.
• Minimum 5 years of experience in Life Insurance or Takaful.
• Hands-on experience in claims, NB, or insurance operations.
• Strong analytical, problem-solving, and communication skills.
• Self-driven, proactive, able to work independently.
• Experience in requirements gathering, business analysis, stakeholder engagement, and UAT is an added advantage.
• Mandarin language ability is a plus.

Responsibilities

• Gather, analyse, and document business requirements for system issues and improvements.
• Conduct impact analysis and evaluate business implications of changes.
• Identify process gaps and propose practical solutions.
• Prepare BRDs, process flows, user guides, and procedures.
• Act as liaison between business users, IT, and vendors.
• Support stakeholders in defining and validating requirements.
• Prepare and review test scenarios, cases, and scripts.
• Coordinate and support UAT activities and testing delivery.
• Manage testing and ensure timely deliverables; investigate defects with IT/vendors.
• Validate solutions against requirements and maintain test evidence and documentation.
• Support production issue analyses and resolution.
• Coordinate team activities, provide guidance, and review outputs.
• Assist Head of Operations Systems & Projects on enhancements.
