Jora Malaysia in Kedah is seeking a maintenance technician to calibrate, preventive maintain, and troubleshoot instrumentation and control systems across the plant. The role covers inkjet printers, SCADA PCs, UPS systems and PLC-based control equipment, with a focus on safety and compliance.
You will install and commission new instrumentation, document all activities, and support engineers on project work while mentoring junior technicians and contributing to TPM and 5S initiatives.

Carry out calibration, preventive maintenance, and troubleshooting of instrumentation and control systems across the plant.
Manage, maintain, and troubleshoot inkjet printers, SCADA PCs, UPS systems, and PLC-based control equipment.
Support electrical troubleshooting for equipment interfacing with instrumentation and automation systems.
Perform installation and commissioning of new instrumentation and control equipment.
Ensure all work complies with internal SOPs and external standards including GMP, ISO9001, ISO14001, and OHSAS.
Document and report all maintenance, troubleshooting activities, and equipment history.
Assist engineers in project execution, system upgrades, and system integration involving automation and instrumentation.
Provide technical guidance to junior technicians and develop their troubleshooting skills.
Participate actively in plant wide TPM activities, 5S implementation, and continuous improvement initiatives.
Knowledge, Skill, and Experience Requirements:
Certificate or Diploma in Instrumentation, Electrical, or Control Engineering.
Knowledge of industrial automation systems
Experience managing and maintaining industrial inkjet printers and SCADA PCs.
Familiarity with UPS systems and power backup maintenance.
Able to read and interpret electrical and instrumentation diagrams.
Good analytical and troubleshooting skills with a proactive approach.
Computer literacy is essential.
Able to work independently and lead small tasks with minimal supervision.
Experience in a manufacturing environment (preferably glove industry) is an added advantage.
