Job summary

Megatek Consulting Engineers Sdn Bhd invites applications for an Inspector of Works (Civil, Structural and Architectural) to join the team at the Bandar Bukit Raja, Kapar, Selangor site. The ideal candidate holds a civil engineering qualification with at least 10 years of site supervision experience, and is able to read infra and structural drawings.

Qualifications

• Degree or diploma in civil engineering or equivalent qualification.
• Registered with the Board of Engineers Malaysia (BEM) as Inspector of Works (civil).
• Minimum 10 years of construction supervision experience.
• Able to read and understand infra and structural drawings.
• Physically fit and able to work at site.

Responsibilities

• Handle day to day site supervision activities at site.
• Provide ideas to improve relevant processes at sites.
• Assist in Civil, Structural, and Architectural supervision of construction work at site.
• Ensure timely completion with quality standards.
• Compliance with contract drawings and specifications.
• Check construction work against approved drawings and report non-compliance.
• Ensure delivered materials meet approved specifications.
• Monitor quality in line with regulations and local authority standards.
• Assist consultants to resolve discrepancies during project implementation.
• Liaise with project team members, consultants, contractors, and authorities.
• Attend and witness material tests and related tests.
• Attend site meetings with consultant engineers.
• Ensure compliance with Safety and Health Acts and related regulations.
• Prepare daily site reports.
• Perform any other tasks as assigned.

INSPECTOR OF WORKS CIVIL, STRUCTURAL AND ARCHITECTURAL

Megatek Consulting Engineers Sdn Bhd is seeking a talented inspector of work (IOW) to join our dynamic team in Bandar Bukit Raja, Kapar, Selangor.

Duties and Responsibilities :

Handle day to day site supervision activities at site.

To provide ideas to improve relevant processes at sites

Assist in Civil, Structural, and Architectural in project implementation and supervision of construction work at site, ensure time completion with quality standard.

Compliance with Contract Drawing and specifications.

Check construction work based on approved drawing and to report for any non-compliance.

Assist to ensure all material delivered to site is as per approved specifications.

Monitor and ensure the quality of works are carried out in accordance to the regulations, specifications and standard of local authority/contract.

Assist consultant to evaluate and resolve any discrepancies or technical issues arising during project implementation.

Liaise with project team member especially consultants, contractors and authorities on all site matter and interfacing works.

Attend and witness material test and all relate tests carried out as required in the project/contract or specifications.

Attend site meetings with consultant engineer.

Ensure all statutory requirements such as Safety and Health Acts, etc are fully comply with

What we're looking for

Degree/Diploma/Certificate in Civil engineering or equivalent.

Physically fit

Able to read and understand infra and structure construction drawings.

Minimum 10 years of experience in construction supervision.

Proactive, good communication and reporting skills.

Able to work independently.
