The successful candidate will have 4-5 years of inspection or supervision experience, strong drawing interpretation skills, and fluency in English and Malay. Diploma/degree in civil engineering or related field preferred.

We are seeking an experienced Inspector of Work to join GET BUILDERS PROSPECT SDN BHD in Puncak Alam, Selangor. This is a full-time position that plays a crucial role in maintaining the highest standards of quality, safety and compliance across our construction projects. As an Inspector of Work, you will be responsible for overseeing construction activities, ensuring adherence to specifications, building codes and safety regulations. Your attention to detail and supervisory expertise will be essential in safeguarding project timelines, budgets and the wellbeing of our workforce.

Key responsibilities

Conduct regular inspections of construction work to ensure compliance with architectural and engineering specifications

Monitor adherence to building codes, safety standards and regulatory requirements on site

Document inspection findings, prepare detailed reports and maintain comprehensive site records

Identify defects, non-conformances and areas requiring rework, and communicate findings to project management and contractors

Supervise and coordinate with construction teams, subcontractors and tradespeople to ensure quality standards are met

Conduct safety inspections and promote a culture of health and safety compliance among all site personnel

Verify that materials and equipment meet specified standards before installation or use

Liaise with clients, architects and engineers to address technical queries and resolve site issues

Maintain detailed photographic and video documentation of construction progress and completed works

Assist in project scheduling and progress tracking to ensure timely completion of works

What we're looking for

Minimum 4-5 years' experience in construction inspection, site supervision or a similar supervisory role within the construction industry

Strong knowledge of building codes, safety regulations and construction best practices in Malaysia

Proven ability to read and interpret architectural and engineering drawings and specifications

Excellent written and verbal communication skills in English and Malay

Proficiency in site documentation, report writing and the use of inspection software or digital tools

Strong attention to detail with an ability to identify defects and non-conformances accurately

Demonstrated leadership and supervisory skills with the ability to manage multiple stakeholders

A commitment to health and safety, with knowledge of occupational safety and health regulations

Physical fitness and willingness to spend considerable time on construction sites in varying weather conditions

Relevant qualifications such as a diploma or degree in civil engineering, construction management or a related field (preferred)

Valid driving licence and own transportation
