Job summary

I Con Team Sdn Bhd is seeking a meticulous Inspector of Works (IOW) to oversee on-site architectural works in Kedah. You will ensure compliance with drawings, specifications, and safety regulations to deliver high-quality workmanship for the client.

The role requires strong ability to read Construction Drawings, vigilant attention to detail, and excellent reporting and coordination skills. On-site presence is required, with frequent site visits as needed.

Responsibilities

• Coordinate with contractors/consultants to resolve clashes and inspect materials.
• Maintain accurate daily site diaries and progress reports.
• Assist in verifying contractor progress for interim payments.

We are seeking a meticulous and dedicated Inspector of Works (IOW) to join our team. Your primary responsibility will be to ensure all site works are carried out in strict accordance with the Contracts, Construction Drawings, and approved work procedures to the highest quality of workmanship and value for the client.

Site Supervision & Quality Control:

Overseeing daily architectural site works to ensure strict compliance with approved drawings, specifications, method statements to maintain quality.

Defect Management:

Issuing Site Memos/NCRs and closely monitoring the contractor's rectification process.

Coordination & Material Approval:

Working closely with contractors and consultants to resolve on-site clashes/discrepancies and inspecting material mock-ups and samples.

Site Documentation:

Maintaining accurate daily site diaries (weather, manpower, machinery) and verifying progress reports.

Payment Verification:

Assisting in verifying the contractor's architectural work progress for interim payment claims.

Job Requirements:

Strong ability to read, interpret, and refer to Construction Drawings and written technical instructions.

Solid working knowledge of occupational health and safety legislation.

Highly vigilant, detail-oriented, and strict regarding technical aspects of site construction.

Excellent communication skills for professional reporting and site coordination.

Willing to be based on-site full-time or perform frequent, regular site visits.
