Job summary

Nexus EC in Malaysia seeks a site-based Construction Coordinator to oversee works, ensure contract compliance, and maintain meticulous records. You will attend site and progress meetings, supervise materials and reporting, and liaise with contractors and local authorities to facilitate construction activities in Shah Alam.

The role requires ensuring compliance with statutory requirements, coordinating with HQ, and issuing engineering instructions as needed to maintain project momentum and safety

Qualifications

• Supervise construction activities and ensure adherence to contract terms.
• Maintain site records and provide weekly progress reports to supervisor.

Responsibilities

• Follow up on instructions and commitments for the project.
• Ensure works align with the contract and regulations.
• Keep detailed site records and report progress weekly to the S.O.
• Ensure procedures comply with statutory requirements and HQ guidelines, suggesting process improvements.
• Attend site and progress meetings with stakeholders.
• Liaise with contractors, local authorities, and involved parties to facilitate construction.
• Supervise and inspect materials used by the contractor for compliance.
• Prepare amended construction details and issue engineer’s instructions as needed.
• Monitor overall site conditions and safety.

• Responsible for the following up on instruction & commitments associated with the project.
• Ensure the works are as per contract.
• Keep the detailed record on site, and report to the S.O. on the progress report weekly.
• Ensure the working procedure to comply with the relevant statutory requirement, agreed method and recommend modification to the process with HQ
• Attend site meetings, progress meetings
• Liaise with all involved parties and local authorities to facilitate the construction activities.
• Supervise, investigate, inspect and check the materials that to be used to by the contractor for construction works.
• Prepare and issue amended construction details and issue out engineer’s instruction if required.
• Keep monitoring site condition
