Job summary

Private Advertiser in Malaysia seeks an Injection Moulding Technician (Mould Setup) to join our production team on shift work. You will handle mould setup, changeovers and related tasks in a fast-paced plastics environment.

The role requires hands-on experience with mould setup and basic machine operation, with emphasis on safety and precise alignment. You will coordinate with production engineers during start-ups and support maintenance when servicing moulds.

Qualifications

• Hands-on experience in mould setup or mould changing within plastic injection moulding.
• Familiar with mould clamping, alignment, cooling connections and basic injection moulding machine operation.
• Able to use mould-handling tools and lifting equipment safely.

Responsibilities

• Install, remove and change moulds according to the production schedule.
• Check mould alignment, clamping and mounting to ensure correct and secure installation.
• Connect and check cooling-water lines, hoses and other mould-related connections.
• Check mould opening and closing, ejection movement and safety devices before production startup.
• Coordinate with production and process technicians during machine setup and trial runs.
• Identify and report mould damage, water leakage, connection issues and other abnormalities.
• Handle and store moulds properly, and coordinate with the maintenance team when servicing or repairs are required.
