Job summary

HICOM-Teck See in Malaysia is seeking a mould setter to join our plastics manufacturing team. The role involves checking material, pre-heating moulds, and setting parameters to standard molding conditions while meeting schedules.

You will ensure mould safety, perform installation and removal, operate machine setup, adjust parameters, and troubleshoot issues. Willingness to work on shifts and overtime is required.

Qualifications

• Diploma/Certificate in Mechanical, Mechatronics, Manufacturing, or related field.
• Fresh graduates are welcome to apply.
• Basic knowledge of Injection Moulding processes and mould setting.
• Able to perform mould installation, removal, and machine setup.
• Basic understanding of machine parameters and adjustment.
• Good troubleshooting and problem-solving skills.
• Able to use basic hand tools and measuring equipment.
• Willing to work on shift and overtime when required.

Responsibilities

• To check and confirm material available. Pre- heat mould if hot-runner mold design and change smoothly.
• To set parameter accordingly to Standard Molding Condition on time and within schedule.
• To set mould safety and correctly mould, clamp, and auxiliaries function.
• To keep properly all the necessary tools for mould set-up.
• To change mould after achieved target.
• To adhere ton safety rules.
• To maintain 5S practices and success in HMS programme.
• To accept any other responsibilities from his superior.
