Job summary

Jabil is seeking a Molding Technician in Kedah to set up, operate, monitor, and troubleshoot injection molding machines to ensure consistent product quality and minimal downtime.

You will work with Production, Quality, and Maintenance teams, perform preventive maintenance, record data, and follow 5S and safety standards.

Qualifications

• Diploma or equivalent technical qualification in Mechanical Engineering, Manufacturing, Mechatronics, or related field.
• 2–5 years of experience as a Molding Technician or in an injection molding environment.
• Knowledge of plastic injection molding machines, molds, and processing parameters.
• Basic troubleshooting and machine setup skills.
• Ability to read work instructions and follow SOPs.
• Good problem-solving, communication, and teamwork skills.

Responsibilities

• Set up and operate injection molding machines according to production requirements.
• Install, remove, and change molds, including start-up and product changeovers.
• Monitor machine performance and adjust parameters to maintain quality and optimize production.
• Inspect molded parts for quality and identify defects.
• Troubleshoot machine and process issues to minimize downtime.
• Perform routine preventive maintenance on molding machines, molds, and auxiliary equipment.
• Record machine settings, production data, and maintenance activities accurately.
• Ensure proper material preparation and handling before production.
• Follow safety procedures, quality standards, and company policies.
• Maintain a clean and organized work area in line with 5S.
• Collaborate with Production, Quality, and Maintenance teams to support operations.
