Job summary

Hong Leong Assurance is seeking an Infrastructure Lead to oversee the design, implementation, operation, and continuous improvement of the organization’s IT infrastructure. The role ensures high availability, reliability, and security of servers, storage, cloud platforms, networks, and end-user computing environments.

You will lead a team to manage enterprise infrastructure services, develop roadmaps, and partner with stakeholders to support digital transformation and regulatory compliance

Responsibilities

• Lead day-to-day enterprise infrastructure services for high availability and performance.

• Lead incident response and drive root cause analysis.

The Infrastructure Lead is responsible for overseeing the design, implementation, operation, and continuous improvement of the organization's IT infrastructure environment. The role ensures the availability, reliability, scalability, and security of infrastructure services, including servers, storage, cloud platforms, networks, databases, and end-user computing environments. The Infrastructure Lead works closely with internal stakeholders and technology partners to support business operations, digital transformation initiatives, and regulatory requirements within the insurance industry.

Functional

• Lead the day-to-day management of enterprise infrastructure services to ensure high availability and optimal performance.
• Oversee server, storage, network, cloud, and data center environments.
• Ensure infrastructure systems are maintained, monitored, and supported according to agreed service levels.
• Establish and maintain infrastructure standards, procedures, and operational documentation.
• Develop and execute infrastructure roadmaps aligned with business and technology strategies.
• Identify opportunities to modernize infrastructure platforms and improve operational efficiency.
• Evaluate emerging technologies, solutions, and industry best practices.
• Oversee cloud services, ensuring cost optimization, security, and operational effectiveness.
• Support cloud migration and infrastructure transformation initiatives.
• Drive root cause analysis and implement preventive measures to improve service stability.
• Monitor infrastructure capacity and performance to support future business growth.
• Ensure proactive monitoring and timely resolution of infrastructure issues.
• Manage relationships with infrastructure vendors, managed service providers, and technology partners. Monitor vendor performance against contractual obligations and service level agreements.

Managerial

• Lead, coach, and develop infrastructure engineers and administrators.
• Foster a culture of accountability, collaboration, and continuous improvement.
• Ensure team members possess the skills and capabilities required to support evolving technologies.

Organizational

• Lead infrastructure-related projects, upgrades, migrations, and technology refresh initiatives. Partner with application, architecture, and project teams to deliver infrastructure solutions that meet business requirements.
• Provide leadership during major incidents and critical infrastructure outages.
• Drive root cause analysis and implement preventive measures to improve service stability.
• Identify, manage and control data risks, monitor performance and uphold data integrity.
