The ideal candidate will have a minimum of 10 years in IT Infrastructure, significant hands-on experience in automation, and a strong capability to collaborate across teams for strategic goals.

Senior Infrastructure Automation Engineer

The Senior Infrastructure Automation Engineer plays a critical role in driving automation-first strategies across infrastructure services. This role combines strong technical expertise with hands‑on implementation, focusing on Ansible, Linux environments, and scalable automation solutions to support enterprise operations.

Make an Impact by:

• Define and implement infrastructure provisioning and configuration management using Ansible across Linux and Windows environments
• Design and manage automation workflows, job templates, and role‑based access control within Ansible Automation Platform
• Automate day‑2 operations including patching, configuration drift remediation, monitoring, backup, and incident response
• Develop reusable automation playbooks, modules, and CI/CD pipelines for consistent infrastructure deployment
• Implement self‑healing and auto‑remediation mechanisms to improve system reliability and reduce downtime
• Ensure high availability, scalability, and security across automated infrastructure processes
• Maintain version‑controlled infrastructure code repositories and enforce best practices
• Ensure compliance with security policies, audit requirements, and regulatory standards through policy‑driven automation
• Collaborate with Cloud, Security, and Operations teams to align automation initiatives with business objectives
• Drive continuous improvement by evaluating and adopting new automation tools and methodologies

Skills for Success:

• Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Information Technology or related field
• 10+ years of experience in IT Infrastructure, with at least 5 years in automation
• Strong expertise in Infrastructure as Code (IaC) using Ansible and solid Linux administration experience
• Proven experience in Ansible Automation Platform including workflows, RBAC and credential management
• Hands‑on experience with VM provisioning, infrastructure automation and system hardening
• Experience in automating day‑2 operations such as patching, monitoring and remediation
• Strong knowledge of CI/CD pipelines and DevOps practices
• Proficiency in scripting languages such as Python, Shell or PowerShell
• Good understanding of networking, security and system administration principles
• Experience working with cloud environments such as AWS or Azure
• Strong communication skills and ability to work across multiple stakeholders in a complex environment

Good to Have:

• Experience with container orchestration technologies
• Knowledge of GitOps methodologies
• Experience in cloud security automation and compliance frameworks (e.g., CIS)
• Familiarity with observability tools such as Grafana or ELK stack
• Exposure to AI‑driven automation (AIOps) or ChatOps
