Job summary

Pantai Hospital Penang is seeking an Infection Prevention and Control professional to lead surveillance, audits, and education across the hospital. The role involves reviewing isolation cases, controlling MDRO risks, and coordinating IPC activities with HIACC/AMS teams.

Experience in IPC programs and data-driven improvements is essential. You will work with healthcare workers to implement best practices, compile reports, and ensure compliance with MOH guidelines.

Qualifications

• Experience in infection prevention and control programs.
• Ability to analyse surveillance data and identify trends.
• Experience conducting audits and incident investigations.

Responsibilities

• Review and follow up on isolation cases and infection control incidents.
• Analyse infection surveillance data to identify outbreaks and initiate investigations.
• Conduct surveillance, audits, and data collection.
• Perform infection control rounds and monitor compliance.
• Provide education and guidance to healthcare workers on IPC practices.
• Prepare reports and oversee corrective actions for IPC issues.
• Ensure MOH-notifiable disease reporting compliance.
• Assist in HIACC and AMS meetings and related IPC activities.
• Contribute to development and revision of IPC policies and procedures.
• Support antimicrobial stewardship through planning and coordination.
