Job summary

KPJ Kajang Specialist Hospital is seeking a dedicated Infection Control Nurse to oversee surveillance, analysis, and reporting of healthcare-associated infections, and to educate staff in infection prevention.

You will develop and revise PCI guidelines, audit SOPs, lead investigations, monitor data, and collaborate with hospital committees to improve patient safety and quality of care across the organization.

Qualifications

• Registered with the Malaysia Nursing Board.
• Post-basic qualification in Infection Control.
• Bachelor of Nursing preferred.
• 2+ years of clinical experience.
• Courses in Core elements of Infection Control, clinical microbiology and Infectious Diseases.

Responsibilities

• Oversee surveillance, analysis, and reporting of healthcare-associated infections.
• Educate staff on infection prevention practices.
• Audit infection control policies and SOPs for effectiveness.
• Lead investigations and root cause analyses for incidents.
• Monitor statistics and maintain records.
• Collaborate with hospital committees on infection control policy.
