Controller Area Network Solutions (M) Sdn Bhd in Malaysia is seeking an Industrial System Engineer to design, implement, and maintain industrial automation and embedded systems on-site in Puchong.

You will analyze customer requirements, develop architectures, configure hardware and software for Industry 4.0 and IoT readiness, troubleshoot issues, and support internal and external teams while documenting designs and procedures.

Formación

• Bachelor's degree in engineering or equivalent practical experience.
• Strong systems engineering and design skills for industrial/embedded solutions.
• Experience with PLCs, SCADA and Industry 4.0 IoT protocols.
• Ability to troubleshoot, perform root cause analysis and provide technical support.
• On-site collaboration with multidisciplinary teams in Malaysia.

Role Description

The Industrial System Engineer is a full-time, on-site role based in Puchong, responsible for designing, implementing, and maintaining industrial automation and embedded systems. This role involves analyzing customer requirements, developing system architectures, and configuring hardware and software components to meet Industry 4.0 and IoT-ready standards. The Industrial System Engineer will perform troubleshooting and root cause analysis, provide technical support to internal teams and customers, and ensure systems are reliable, secure, and optimized for performance. Daily tasks include system administration, documentation of designs and procedures, participation in project planning, and collaboration with cross-functional teams on integration and testing. The role may also involve occasional customer training, support for the online automation platform, and continuous improvement of engineering processes.

Qualifications

• Candidates should possess strong Systems Engineering and Systems Design skills to develop, integrate, and optimize industrial and embedded automation solutions.
• Candidates should possess solid Troubleshooting and Technical Support skills to diagnose issues, perform root cause analysis, and resolve system and application problems.
• Candidates should possess System Administration skills to manage, configure, and maintain industrial systems, networks, and related infrastructure.
• Candidates should possess knowledge of industrial automation, control systems (e.g., PLCs, SCADA), and communication protocols relevant to Industry 4.0 and IoT.
• Candidates should possess a bachelor’s degree in engineering (e.g., Electrical, Electronics, Mechatronics, Computer, or related field) or equivalent practical experience.
• Candidates should possess good analytical and problem-solving abilities, clear technical communication skills, and the capacity to work collaboratively on-site with multidisciplinary teams.
• Candidates should possess familiarity with cloud computing, data analytics, and cybersecurity principles for industrial environments; experience with embedded systems development tools is an advantage.
