Job summary

COMPOSITES TECHNOLOGY RESEARCH MALAYSIA SDN BHD seeks an Industrial Relations Executive with 2+ years of IR/ER experience. You will manage disciplinary matters, handle grievances, conduct investigations, and coordinate Domestic Inquiry processes in alignment with Employment Act 1955 and Industrial Relations Act 1967.

You will also maintain the e-Grievance system, conduct IR trainings, and help review policies while liaising with government agencies.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in HRM/HRD/IR/Law or related field.
• Minimum two years of experience in IR/Employee Relations/HR.
• Knowledge of Employment Act 1955, Industrial Relations Act 1967, and related labour laws.
• Analytical and problem-solving skills.
• Good report writing, documentation, and case management skills.
• Effective communication, interpersonal and employee engagement skills.
• Ability to conduct investigations and handle disciplinary and grievance matters confidentially.
• Proficient in MS Office (Word, Excel, PowerPoint).
• Ability to work independently and manage multiple assignments.

Responsibilities

• Monitor, investigate, and manage disciplinary and misconduct cases.
• Handle grievances, complaints, and inquiries with timely resolution.
• Conduct investigations, gather evidence, prepare investigation reports, and recommend actions.
• Coordinate and administer Domestic Inquiry processes, including acting as Secretary.
• Prepare disciplinary notices and related documentation.
• Ensure compliance with Employment Act 1955, Industrial Relations Act 1967, and company policies.
• Maintain the employee grievance management system, including the e‑Grievance platform.
• Conduct IR induction briefings and employee engagement sessions.
• Assist in reviewing and implementing IR policies, procedures, and forms.
• Compile, maintain, and organize disciplinary and Labour Court case documentation.
• Monitor attendance-related disciplinary issues and payroll deductions.
• Prepare monthly IR reports and management presentations.
• Support disciplinary policies and Performance Improvement Plans (PIP).
• Stay updated on employment legislation and precedents.
• Maintain relationships with government agencies (Labour Dept, IR Dept).
• Disciplinary records verification for recognition programmes.
• Perform other duties as assigned.
