FLEXTRONICS TECHNOLOGY (PENANG) SDN BHD in Prai, Penang, invites an Industrial Engineering Manager/Assistant Manager to lead a team of engineers and technicians. The role focuses on labor standards, workflow optimization, and cost-effective production planning to boost throughput and product quality.

We seek candidates with a Bachelor's in Engineering (Master’s/MBA preferred) and at least 8 years of related experience, including supervision.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's Degree in Engineering or related field; Master’s or MBA preferred.
• Typically requires 8 years of engineering experience including supervision.
• Experience in industrial engineering in high technology electronics preferred.
• Strong leadership and HR related initiatives.

Responsibilities

• Manage a team of engineers and technicians to establish work measurement programs and standards for labor utilization.
• Evaluate staff utilization, facility layout, and production data to define efficient utilization of workers and equipment.
• Recommend methods for improving worker efficiency and reducing waste.
• Develop management systems for cost reviews, financial planning, wage and salary administration, and job evaluation.
• Design production planning and control systems to coordinate activities and ensure product quality.
• Design or improve systems for physical distribution and plant location optimization.
• Collaborate with other engineering teams to design manufacturable new products.
• Lead initiatives to increase throughput, reduce cost and improve performance in constrained areas.
• Implement HR strategies to recruit and retain a qualified workforce.
