Job summary

Flex is seeking a Senior Industrial Engineer for Prai, Penang to boost productivity by guiding workers, methods, and technology. You will analyze process flows, layout, and cost drivers to improve throughput and quality.

The role involves coordinating NPI, supporting lean initiatives, and collaborating with management to implement cost-saving measures across production. A bachelor's degree and 5 years in high-tech electronics are typical requirements.

Qualifications

Bachelor's degree in a related field or equivalent.
5 years of engineering experience in the high technology electronics industry or related area.
Experience leading LEAN, Automation and Six Sigma projects.
Ability to analyze production data and drive improvements.

Responsibilities

Simulates process, materials and manufacturing workflow using REFA, MOST, WITNESS or equivalent tools.
Coordinates process planning and setup for NPI with takt and cycle time considerations.
Reviews prototyping results and provides feedback to NPI and sales teams.
Analyzes workforce utilization, facility layout, and production schedules to optimize resources.
Recommends methods to improve worker efficiency and reduce waste of materials and utilities.
Leads initiatives to increase throughput and reduce costs in constrained areas (LEAN, Automation, Six Sigma).
