Job summary

Flex is seeking an Industrial Engineer in Prai, Penang to join our production engineering team and drive productivity through workforce management, process methods, and advanced technology. You will help solve organizational and production challenges with a focus on efficiency and waste reduction.

A typical day includes providing process time estimates to the quote team, simulating processes using REFA/MOST/WITNESS, coordinating process planning during NPI, reviewing prototypes, and establishing

Qualifications

Typically requires a Bachelor's Degree in Engineering or related field.
Prior experience in industrial engineering in the high technology electronics industry or related area is preferred.

Responsibilities

Provides process time estimation to the quote team.
Simulates process, materials and manufacturing workflow and gives input to process engineer by using REFA, MOST, WITNESS or adequate tools.
During NPI coordinates process planning and set up with respect to takt, cycle time and direct labor requirement.
Reviews result during prototyping and trial runs and gives feedback to NPI and sales team.
Work measurement programs and examines work samples to develop standards for labor utilization.
Examines staff utilization, facility layout, and operational data to define efficient utilization of workers and equipment.
