Job summary

INV NEW MATERIAL TECHNOLOGY (M) SDN. BHD. seeks an Industrial Engineer to support the setup and optimization of new production lines in a growing facility. You will focus on process optimization, manpower planning, and line balancing using Lean Six Sigma to drive continuous improvement.

You will conduct time and method studies, establish standard times, and monitor UPH and OEE data while collaborating with cross-functional teams on Kaizen initiatives and capacity planning.

Qualifications

• Degree in Industrial Engineering, Manufacturing, Mechanical, or related field.
• Minimum 1–3 years of relevant experience in IE/Manufacturing Excellence/Process Improvement.
• Hands-on exposure to Lean/Lean Six Sigma/CI tools (5S, Kaizen, VSM, Pareto, basic RCA).
• Lean Six Sigma certification (Yellow/Green Belt) is an advantage but not mandatory.
• Exposure to line balancing, manpower planning, or productivity analysis.
• Good Excel skills for data analysis and reporting.
• Experience in EMS/electronics/manufacturing environment is a plus.
• Comfortable on factory floor, in fast-paced settings.

Responsibilities

• Support establishment, optimization, and day-to-day improvement of production lines.
• Conduct time study, method study, and line balancing to optimize manpower and throughput.
• Apply Lean Six Sigma tools to improve production efficiency and reduce waste.
• Perform capacity planning and productivity analysis for new and existing lines.
• Establish and maintain standard time (STD) and productivity standards.
• Monitor UPH, OEE, cycle time, and efficiency data.
• Support new line setup, pilot run, and ramp-up activities.
• Lead or participate in Kaizen/CI projects to reduce waste and costs.
• Collaborate with Production, Process, Quality, and Equipment teams on improvement initiatives.
