Job summary

MeHow Medical (M) Sdn Bhd is seeking an Industrial Engineer to analyze and improve manufacturing processes, optimize layouts, and drive lean initiatives across production lines. You will conduct time studies, establish standard hours, and coordinate with engineering and suppliers to ensure quality and compliance.

The role requires strong knowledge in plant layout, ergonomics, capacity planning, and methods engineering, with Lean/Six Sigma certification as a plus.

Qualifications

• Relevant experience in industrial engineering or a manufacturing environment.
• Strong industrial engineering knowledge including plant layout, ergonomics, capacity planning, operational modeling, methods engineering, and lean manufacturing.
• Certification in Lean Manufacturing and/or Six Sigma is an added advantage.
• Proficient in AutoCAD software for layout design and drawings.
• Ability to prepare and manage induction training schedules.
• Knowledge of safety requirements and other requirements following production training plans.
• Good communication and coordination skills.
• Creative, innovative, analytical, and able to lead improvement projects.
• Aggressive, passionate about work, practical, and hardworking with strong teamwork spirit.

Responsibilities

• Analyse and evaluate existing manufacturing processes and identify areas for production efficiency improvement.
• Recommend methods for improving worker efficiency and reducing waste of materials and utilities, such as restructuring job duties and reorganizing workflow.
• Carry out Work Study for each workstation to establish standard working hours, standard process and capacity.
• In charge of production layout and able to draw using AutoCad.
• Ensure manufacturing processes, equipment and products comply with safety standards and legal regulations.
• Establish theoretical cycle time; perform time study and drive continuous improvement based on lean concepts.
• Liaise with internal engineering team and suppliers to establish and review project specifications and budgets.
