Jora Malaysia is seeking an Industrial Engineer to plan equipment layouts in plant offices and production facilities, and to establish standards that improve industrial engineering techniques.
Under supervision, analyze existing methods, develop recommendations to reduce costs and time, increase yields, and improve quality and consistency of final products. Strong focus on lean manufacturing and continuous improvement.

Under general supervision, plan for equipment layouts in plant office, and production facilities and establish standards to improve industrial engineering techniques.
Analyse existing industrial engineering techniques and develop recommendations for changes to working methods that will minimize costs, and time taken; increase yields and productivity; and improve the quality and consistency of final products.
Conducts studies to determine the most efficient sequence of operations and workflow and recommends methods for maximum utilization of production facilities and personnel. Imply independent judgment and acquired experience, for execute moderately complex and non-routine assignments.
Provide engineering service and advice to industrial engineering activities; prepare reports regarding reviews of production methods, equipment layout and equipment and material utilization.
Understand specific client needs or technical specifications, parts drawings, and other engineering data to develop new techniques and estimate time requirements for each step and total cost of the project.
The job function listed is not exhaustive and shall also include any responsibilities as assigned by the Supervisor from time to time.
Requirements:
Bachelor's Degree in Engineering or Science field.
A minimum of three years of experience in the relevant field is required.
Experience and knowledge in Industrial Engineering, including Takt time, Cycle time, Lead time, work instructions, and FMEA.
Exposure to Project Management and involvement in process improvement projects.
Ability to work both in a team and independently with minimal supervision.
Strong interpersonal and communication skills, along with effective time management.
Familiarity with Lean manufacturing concepts and processes.
Possess a continuous improvement mindset.
Strong analytical, communication, and presentation skills.
Preferably has a proven track record in executing continuous improvement projects.
