Job summary

AEM Microtronics (M) Sdn Bhd in Penang invites a software engineer to design, develop, test and validate software for high-speed industrial automation systems. You will interpret customer requirements and create design specifications, collaborating with mechanical, control and electrical engineers.

The ideal candidate holds a Bachelor's in software design, mechatronics or related field, is proficient in C# and WPF, understands OOP and IEC 61131-3, and is familiar with Beckhoff TwinCAT.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in software design, mechatronics, electrical, electronic engineering or computer science.
• Proficient in C#, WPF, .NET Framework, and object-oriented programming.
• Knowledge of industrial equipment such as sensors, motors, cylinders, etc.
• Familiar with ST or IEC61131-3 language.
• Beckhoff TwinCAT knowledge is an advantage.
• Fresh graduates are welcome to apply.

Responsibilities

• Design, develop, test and validate software for industrial automation systems.
• Interpret technical requirements, identify design parameters, and develop solutions per design specs and standards.
• Collaborate with mechanical, control and electrical engineers on requirements analysis.
• Develop, test and integrate software modules.
• Provide technical support to customers and internal teams.
• Work with customers on co-development projects.
• Be a persistent, creative problem solver and take ownership of development tasks.
