Job summary

Hirehub Group in Senai, Johor, Malaysia is seeking a software engineer to design, develop, and test C# applications for Windows-based industrial and embedded systems. The role involves RTOS and Linux embedded environments, hardware I/O libraries, and integration with mechanical/electrical teams.

The candidate should have 2–5 years in industrial software development, strong debugging skills and the ability to travel overseas frequently for onsite support. Salary up to RM5,500 per month.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in software engineering, CS, mechatronics or related field.
• 2–5 years of experience in industrial software development or machine control.
• Proficient in C#, .NET and multithreaded development.
• Hands-on with RTOS, Linux embedded systems and hardware I/O libraries.
• Experience with communication protocols like EtherCAT or MODBUS.

Responsibilities

• Design, develop, test, and debug C# applications for Windows-based industrial and embedded systems.
• Develop multithreaded software and sensor/actuator feedback control systems.
• Work with RTOS, Linux and embedded platforms for machine control and integration.
• Conduct software testing, troubleshooting and algorithm validation with hardware.
• Manage software updates, fixes, version control and lifecycle improvements.
• Maintain technical documentation compliant with Copy Exact and ISO standards.
• Collaborate with Mechanical, Electrical and other teams for hardware-software integration.
• Research improved development methods and guide junior engineers.
• Ensure releases meet quality standards and project timelines.

Job Requirements

• 2-5 years of experience in industrial software development, preferably in machine control or automated systems.
• Proficient in C#, .NET framework, and multithreaded application development.
• Hands-on experience with RTOS, Linux embedded systems, hardware I/O libraries, and communication protocols such as EtherCAT or MODBUS.
• Strong debugging, analytical, and problem-solving skills, with experience working with physical hardware in a laboratory environment.
• Detail-oriented with a strong commitment to code quality, documentation accuracy, and compliance.
• Able to work independently, collaborate across engineering teams, and meet strict project deadlines.
• Required to travel overseas frequently for onsite support.

Location: Senai, Johor

Working Hours: Mon - Fri (8:30AM - 5:30PM)

Salary Range: Up to RM5,500
