Job summary

Jabil in Penang seeks an IE Technician (Process/Assembly) to perform assembly and process tasks in line with SOPs and drawings. You will set up and troubleshoot tools, support new process introductions, and assist in time studies and process validation to drive lean improvements.

The role requires a Diploma/Certificate in Engineering or at least 2 years of related experience, with a basic understanding of manufacturing and a willingness to work at Bayan Lepas or Batu Kawan.

Qualifications

• Diploma/Certificate in Engineering or minimum 2 years of related experience.
• Basic understanding of manufacturing and assembly processes.
• Lean concepts and continuous improvement knowledge is a plus.
• Able to define problems, collect data, establish facts, and draw valid conclusions.
• Willing to work at Penang sites (Bayan Lepas and Batu Kawan).

Responsibilities

• Perform assembly and process tasks according to SOPs and drawings.
• Set up, operate, and troubleshoot assembly tools and production equipment.
• Support new processes, line setup, and pilot runs.
• Assist in time studies, work measurement, and process validation.
• Support lean initiatives, productivity improvements, and waste reduction.
• Provide feedback to improve methods for efficiency and ergonomics.
• Maintain accurate records of process parameters and output.
• Assist with updating work instructions and process flow documents.
• Support audits and compliance as required.
